The AfCFTA offers a strategic opportunity for Africa and Europe to promote trade on both sides. The AfCFTA creates space for the EU to move beyond the traditional development cooperation and help Africa to overcome its interconnected challenges of supply-side and market access constraints. Europe has a great role to play through Aid for Trade to help Africa overcome the referred challenges in a manner that facilitates trade at regional, continental and multilateral levels.
