Waraporn Sorndech - Researcher, TISTR

Waraporn Sorndech is a researcher at Expert Center of Innovative Health Food, TISTR. They graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in Food Technology and Biotechnology (double Ph.D. degree) from Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand, and the University of Copenhagen, Denmark respectively. Their current projects are related to the production of prebiotics eg. low-calorie sugar, bioactive polysaccharides, and proteins from plant extracts used as functional food ingredients for food industries. They also have several public research and review articles on enzymatic modification of starch to create the slowly digestible and resistant maltodextrins and their prebiotics properties.
